Celebrating Bike Month & Denver Bike to Work Day

In case you didn't know, June is Bike Month in Colorado. For those of you who don't live in Colorado, cyclists are a huge part of the outdoor culture here, and it's only appropriate that we've got an entire month dedicated to what we love. Governor Ritter himself is an avid cyclist, and on any given day in June, you'll see cyclists getting their race legs ready for summer rides like the Colorado Peace Ride, Ride the Rockies (this weekend), Copper Triangle, and a whole tons more (check out rockymountainsports.com's event calendar). I'm of course loving the art work for this. Check out more Bike Month posters.

With Denver's Bike to Work Day just around the corner on June 24th, I'm celebrating by getting out and commuting to work a few times a week (about 12 miles each way). It's been absolutely awesome, despite the off-and-on rains that Denver has been having. BikeDenver just announced the 1st ever Bike to Work Day pelotons. For novice riders like me who don't know what a peloton is, it's a body of cyclists that ride together. Denver will have multiple pelotons heading down to Civic Park's breakfast station. More info on peloton start points here.

I'll probably be there talking up the Peace Ride and giving people a last minute nudge to register before the July 1st deadline. Hope to see you there!
