The Peace Ride at E-Rock

A bunch of us from the Peace Ride went down to Elephant Rock today. Competitor, formerly known as Rocky Mountain Sports, was nice enough to let us share its tent. A number of other great sponsors were there as well: Shimano, Clif, Luna Bar, Thule, Subaru (showcasing their cool new Outback). We also got a chance to talk to a few other rides like the Deer Creek Challenge and the Venus de Miles Ride.

If you were there, you would have seen us in "Ask Me About the Colorado Peace Ride" T-Shirts. It was a great day, and we talked to a lot of cyclists who had heard about the ride. A lot of people commented that the 500 rider limit was an appeal, and we kept hearing about how beautiful the San Juan Skyway is (trust us, we know).

Some fun things I saw:
  • A herd of Team Transplant jerseys. It was cool to stop by their booth and talk to them.
  • Venus de Miles: an awesome new women's only ride that Rev Isabelle is thinking about riding.
  • An actual elephant
We'll probably be at the Moonlight Classic, too, so look for us there!

Plus, a quick reminder that early registration ends this Tuesday at noon, so sign up now and save $100.
