The Ride of Silence - May 19th

In case you are not aware of this ride, you should check it out..."The Ride of Silence", May 19th 2010 in a city near you. Its happening in Golden CO at 111 Rubey Drive. Its tagline is: 100,000+ riders, 243 cities, 50 states, 13 countries, 6 continents, 0 words spoken. Same day. Same time. Around the world. "The Ride of Silence" commemorates all who have died as a result of a cycling accident. Fortunately I don't know of anyone who has died on a bike but I will be there to offer my prayers and show my support for my fellow cyclists who have experienced the loss of a loved one in this way. When Chris Phelan first organized this ride in 2003, he just put out the word for people to show up in memory of his friend Larry Schwartz who had recently died and others like him. He never anticipated that 1000 cyclists would show up. He never dreamed it would become what it is today. Kudos to Chris for stepping out and allowing spirit to move and to all who have responded! Blessings upon all of the participants of "The Ride of Silence 2010".
